This award is given exclusively to suppliers who achieve or fall below a maximum defect rate of 10 parts per million of delivered components over a twelve-month period. As such, the “10 PPM” standard is regarded as an international benchmark for outstanding production quality and process reliability.
The award recognizes the consistently high performance of the Plettenberg facility in supplying PACCAR. In addition to the PPM rate achieved, other criteria such as delivery performance, process stability, and customer satisfaction are also factored into the evaluation.
This award is a striking testament to the high level of process reliability and manufacturing quality at the forge, as well as to the rigorous quality control measures in place.
